This is a favorite Starbucks for me. A huge plus with it being where I live, but also its a great atmosphere and great employees. If you can snag a spot in the late morning early afternoon its a great place to get out of the house and get some work done. If it's during the school year though, and it's after school it can be crazy busy with a lot of kids running around, but to me that's not a huge complaint. That's what coffee places are supposed to be like; lively and energetic at times, but calm and a productive place too. It's a great Starbucks in the summer as well as the outdoor seating is a great place to sit and relax with it being at the square in New Albany.

Since August, I've gotten a Chi Latte at this location one to five times per week. I continue to go back due to proximity to my home and great service. The staff addresses me by name and remembers my order. The few times that my order was not filled correctly, I was promptly given a free drink coupon. So why just three stars you ask? Again, this is not a reflection of the service. It is due to three things. 1). This location is ALWAYS super busy. There is always a line and never super close parking. I should note, however, that there is ample parking behind the plaza. 2). There is no drive-thru. Sometimes a girl just wants to buy tea in her pajamas. 3). TOO MANY KIDS!!! In the morning, there are toddlers running everywhere. Today one was screaming "I want my cinnamon roll" over and over. In the afternoon, I think the school buses just drop the preteens off at the door. If you want good tea with friendly service and aren't in a super hurry, this is your spot. If you are looking for a quiet, kid free zone to relax, study, or work, I would not recommend.

It's very crowded with kids, especially after school hours. They have a wide selection of drinks, and are always brewing fresh coffee. The popcorn that has butter on it, in the bags, is excellent. Although they are pricey, their drinks are high quality. The service is slow.

I've been to many Starbucks in the Columbus area and this is, by far, the best one. Relax, study, read, enjoy friends!

Columbus, this is another reason why you can't have nice things. Granted, I am used to shitty customer service (thanks, financial district Starbucks!), but this just doesn't make sense. "A grande bold" "We don't have any right now. I can give you an Americano for the same price." (Fun, right? A coffeeshop that doesn't have any coffee brewed!) "That's nice, except that I would like coffee and not an Americano." "Well, it's going to take a few minutes for the coffee to brew." "Okay. Well, that's what I ordered." "So you want the coffee?" "That's what I ordered." More fun? Okay. Why are there thirty unsupervised children in here? And they all want espresso drinks and paninis. Want more fun? Want a pastor to introduce himself and ask you weird questions as you try to explain you're an atheist and nope, you aren't interested in stopping in for one service, and nah, I don't need to give it just one try, and nope, I really am okay with your god? Want him to smile and shake his head like you're a toddler and tell you that "wow, you must've been hurt really badly." Okay. Can you get out of my face so I can reach the half and half? So, why a church is using this as its office, I don't know. Why there are so many children in a coffeeshop like it's a a malt shop, I don't know. Why I have to wait for coffee to be made in a coffeeshop like it isn't a coffeeshop, I don't know. Logic and reason tells me that a coffeeshop should always have coffee brewed. But what do I know. Done patronizing this place.

As a transplant from downtown, used to walking next door to get my starbucks, this location, a short drive from my office, is a good replacement. The staff doesn't rock as hard as the staff on Front Street, but they're fast, attentive, and friendly. It's great people watching, too, since I'm not from New Albany. Freaks.

I've been hesitant to visit after I read some of the reviews, but this is a great Starbucks! I went to the Kroger one this Monday for a PSL, but they aren't in those kinds of Starbucks yet. I went to this one this morning, such a quaint area! It doesn't have a drive-thru, but I didn't mind going in to check things out. The staff was super friendly and helpful and they made my drink in a timely matter. My PSL is as delicious as I remember from last year. The clientele seemed pretty normal as well. Will definitely be back!

Super busy, there are some friendly staff I love but others just talk. And have bad attitude. My drink was made wrong and they barista gave me ridiculous attitude for asking it to be remade. Very unprofessional. Other than that never had a bad experience.. Just very crowded.

Customer care: "Meh, 3-stars." Most starbucks staff hold the scanner up for you when you pay with the mobile app. This place didn't want to do that, maybe they had a different system. When I showed my phone implying that I wanted to pay that way, the clerk pointed toward the scanner and I had to scan it myself. Not that it's a hard thing to do, but it would be nice if they showed that they didn't mind going the extra mile for the customers. Tidiness: "Hmm, 2-stars." Floor could use some sweeping and mopping. You can see pieces of paper and plastic wrap everywhere. Also, the table I chose had a piece of gum stuck not under it but on top of it. And it was white, so it was definitely visible to the other naked eyes too. The straws need refilled at the self-service counter--where there are milk, napkins, sugar etc. I had to reach over to their working area to grab one because he didn't care to put one with my drink. Drink quality: "Oh yeah." Pretty much like any other Starbucks--as expected. I drove out of my way to New Albany to try out a new SB place, but was a bit dissapointed. The location of it isn't that great either--with the construction going on and distance from 161. Basically, I probably will stick with my other starbucks locations--friendlier, cleaner, and CLOSER!

The positives: Great customer service. Nice location. It used to be a nice place to walk to from my house for a relaxing cup of coffee and a snack or sandwich. The Negatives: Now it's become a library. Overrun with entitled New Albany High School students. They sit for hours. Most have no manners, they don't tip the baristas. They leave trash on the floors, tables, etc. No supervision. When they do clear out the store is a complete mess! So completely frustrating!!!

I used to love this Starbucks. Warm and welcoming and the staff were wonderful. Not sure what changed about a year ago but things are not well in the New Albany Starbucks. Less and less room is given to seating, more space given to merchandise and stacking of boxes and boxes and boxes of stuff that should be in the storeroom. Almost everyone I have spoken to here has complained about the lack of tables when more are needed, not less. A group of us have met in here pretty much every Friday for at least the last 4 1/2 years. Today we had finally had it and moved to another venue. It's become a place of interminable business meetings with one or two people taking up a table for four, and there are lots of other groups who seem to meet there too now - and we are fed up of not being able to find anywhere to sit. I'm desperately hoping that with the new buildings finally opening that someone will open up another coffee / tea shop to cope with the number of people here. Spot on the other reviewers who've mentioned the influx of children when school finishes at 2:30. And although I don't have a problem with them being there, some of them really need to learn some manners! Unfortunately there is nowhere else for these children to go to hang out.

I use to love this location, but since the last manager (short skinny female that always looks pissed off) with zero personality ran off all the great staff and now it has 100% turnover. The current staff must be ex-workers from Wendys or Tim Hortons, impolite and lacks professionalism, drinks are inconsistent of taste now.

It's a Starbucks, and that means consistent quality drinks and food--and lovely customer service. The New Albany Sbux does not disappoint on either account. The only thing about this location is that it's ALWAYS jumpin'. I guess it's the lack of options in New Albany? And if you're there when school lets out, be prepared for a massive line.

It's 7:50pm on a Sunday night. It's quiet, I don't overhear any conversations. I'm happy to be here to study, it was a good life choice tonight. The available three staff were super chill and nice. One of them told me a life hack: get the Starbucks gift card from giant, and earn fuel points when I use it! Good job, NewAlbany Starbucks! :) Other than that, the interior is small ish but long. Narrow. But for a quiet night like tonight that's fine. Really depends on what you come here for. I met a rad guy I'm dating now in this Starbucks, during a new Albany farmers market in August. Back then this place was bustling for obvious reasons and that was fine. We stole away to converse elsewhere, so... It really depends on what you're staying indoors for, or at their outdoor tables. Make smart life choices I guess, given the options.

Staff is great, friendly and provide a very good Americano Espresso. Actually better than the Americano Espresso in other Starbucks.

The staff here is always so nice and friendly, and they make great beverages. I love the location, and the recently remodeled store is clean and nice. I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for all the bratty New Albany kids and their rude sense of entitlement. Avoid this place right after school gets out because it is a nightmare of snotty 12 -year-olds demanding special drinks with unusual ingredients at certain temperatures.

If your needing a coffee fix for your favorite latte...here's the best place locally. I won't go into detail about the coffee/tea selection. Who hasn't been to a Starbucks yet? They have many comfy places to sit but I do suggest staying far away from this location around 2:30pm-4pm Mon.-Fri. The NA students love to hang out there around this time. Book bags and kids everywhere.
